Replay Seeker

Official Thread | Download

If you can not access the thread, you can download the non-official .rar from here.

This tool helps you to manipulate the replay playback.

What to do once you downloaded it:

  1. Open Warcraft III, select a replay, start it (wait for the first seconds before minimizing it)
  2. Start the ReplaySeeker.exe (with admin rights)
  3. Enter a desired time (Format: mm:ss and if your replay is longer than 60 minutes: hh:mm:ss)
  4. Select a desired replay speed and/or select the "Turbo" option.
The turbo feature will speed up the forwarding but might slow down your computer.
  5. Press "Synchronize!"
  6. The replay will now be forwarded and you can do something else meanwhile without having Wc3 maximized/windowed.

Known bugs:

  • If you are maximizing the replay while forwarding, the Seeker might skip your desired time.
  • The seeker might randomly skip your desired time. So keeping an eye on it would be better.
  • ReplaySeeker no longer automatically restarts Warcraft 3 if you choose a new desired time.

Troubleshooting:

  • If the ReplaySeeker v1.1 doesn't detect replays but previous versions do, then change the value specified in the ProcessName property inside "repseek.cfg" file to the name of the Warcraft process that you see in the Windows Task Manager when Warcraft is running. Most likely you would change "war3" to "War3" (I don't know why it differs on some computers). This is fixed for later versions though (>= 1.1b).
  • Since this program is written in C#, you need to have .NET Framework 2.0 installed on your computer (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=22). Some programs install FW2.0 automatically in order for them to work, so you might already have it installed on your computer.
